Among 501 respondents, 30% prioritized energy, AI, transportation, and ports equally, with energy being the top choice at 25%.

Key projects include LNG exports and renewable power initiatives. A significant 84% expressed worries about delays linked to legal challenges from Indigenous groups.

KPMG stresses that genuine consultation and collaboration with Indigenous communities is essential for successful project outcomes.

The recent Building Canada Act, designed to expedite national interest projects, has faced criticism from Indigenous leaders regarding potential rights infringements.
